01 Why does my cement render keep cracking and peeling off?

Render splits and breaks away when the brick wall underneath shifts or when moisture gets trapped behind the coating. Traditional cement mixes are hard and brittle, meaning they cannot tolerate the natural settling or thermal expansion of your house. If structural stepping cracks are opening up in your masonry, it will snap standard surface coats instantly.

THE REMEDIAL FIX: We don't just trowel a layer of patch compound over the damage. We open the cracks to tie the base masonry back together using heavy-duty Helical Stitching bars and flexible polymer structural repairs before laying down a highly resilient fresh render skin.

02 What does it mean if my external render sounds hollow or "drummy"?

A "drummy" sound when you tap the wall means the render has fully detached from the structural brickwork beneath it. This happens when water seeps through micro-cracks or porous paint, freezing or expanding until the bond breaks entirely. Left unattended, these unsupported sections of heavy cement will eventually pull away and crash down.

THE REMEDIAL FIX: Our team strips away all loose, unbonded material back down to the stable masonry base. We apply structural bonding agents and seal the finished exterior with an advanced flexible skin that stops external dampness while letting the wall breathe.

Standard paint is porous. Our remedial facade restoration includes Anti-Carbonation Membranes that act as a high-flex rubber skin. This blocks chloride ingress and moisture, permanently stopping Concrete Cancer and internal damp patches.

03 How do you ensure a new rendering repair blends cleanly and lasts?

Long-lasting facade protection requires treating the underlying structural risks rather than treating the repair as a simple plastering job. To avoid noticeable patch lines and prevent early failure, the moisture-barrier profile, joint distribution, and weight limits of the wall must be calculated to safely withstand high wind loads and weather peaks.

THE REMEDIAL FIX: We carefully cut out clean mechanical boundaries, insert proper expansion joints to absorb building flex, and finish using modern polymer-modified materials applied strictly under the supervision of qualified engineering specialists.

01. THE PROBLEM (STRUCTURAL FAIL)
