Render splits and breaks away when the brick wall underneath shifts or when moisture gets trapped behind the coating. Traditional cement mixes are hard and brittle, meaning they cannot tolerate the natural settling or thermal expansion of your house. If structural stepping cracks are opening up in your masonry, it will snap standard surface coats instantly.
Structural "creaks" and stepping cracks indicate active masonry movement. We use Helical Stitching and Resin Injection to re-bond your building’s skin, stopping cracks from spreading and preventing future collapse.
A "drummy" sound when you tap the wall means the render has fully detached from the structural brickwork beneath it.
